Link these activity sheets to your phonics work. Each sheet shows a different letter of the alphabet for children to sound, colour, trace and locate on the alphabet line. Children could think of gifts for Christmas or associated things beginning with each letter and write or draw them on the sheets. A Christmas / New Year resource for children where they make their own calendars to send for gifts to loved ones or friends. There are 10 Christmas pictures in sets. There are 5 different types of borders all containing the 10 pictures. Print the cards onto thin card or paste. Children choose their cards, colour in the pictures and write over the greetings. The final page shows 12 months of calendar tabs. Children could make their own year collection adding in the numbers on the correct days or make 1 month - January to add to their cards.
